Your Shopify theme is one demand letter away from a lawsuit.
Not another overlay widget. ThemeFix scans your actual theme code, writes real code fixes through the Shopify Theme API, and keeps a tamper-evident evidence ledger with a PDF report your lawyer can actually use.
Overlays don't fix code. Plaintiff lawyers know it.
The FTC fined accessiBe $1M for claiming a widget could make websites compliant. Their Shopify app sits at ~2 stars, with merchants posting reviews from after they were sued anyway.
Widget-free remediation
No floating toolbar, no JavaScript overlay injected into your storefront. Fixes land in your theme's Liquid, HTML, and CSS — where a developer would put them.
Snapshot before every change
A full theme backup is taken before any patch is written — a duplicated backup theme in your own Shopify admin, plus one-click rollback in the app.
Evidence, not promises
Every scan, finding, and fix is appended to a hash-chained evidence ledger and exported as a dated PDF remediation report with a demand-letter response summary.
How it works — five minutes, no developer
- Connect your store.
Paste your shop domain. Direct install via a Custom App token, or one-click from the Shopify App Store.
- Scan your published theme.
Ten automated WCAG 2.1 AA checks against your real theme files: missing alt text, heading order, unlabeled inputs, empty links/buttons, missing page language, low color contrast, empty page titles, missing skip links, viewport zoom blocking, untitled iframes.
- Review every finding.
Each issue shows file, line, severity, and WCAG criterion — plus the exact code patch proposed, before anything is written.
- Apply fixes with one click.
Snapshot first, then file-by-file writes. Any patch that doesn't match cleanly is reported as failed — never silently half-patched. Roll back anytime.
- Download your evidence PDF.
A dated remediation report with the ledger hash chain and a demand-letter response timeline — ready to hand to your attorney or insurance carrier.

Pricing and ratings from public sources, checked October 2026. TestParty's monthly expert audits and enterprise track record are real advantages — they just come at enterprise prices through a sales process. If you want managed remediation and can spend $600+/month, talk to them. If you want to fix your theme yourself tonight for a fixed price, that's our lane.

FAQ
Does this make me lawsuit-proof?
No — and you should distrust anyone who says otherwise. No software can make a website lawsuit-proof; the company that implied it (accessiBe) was fined $1M by the FTC. What ThemeFix does: finds real accessibility defects in your theme code, fixes them at the code level, and documents the work in a tamper-evident ledger with a dated report. That documented good-faith remediation is what attorneys actually want to see. It is not legal advice and does not certify ADA or WCAG conformance.
How is this different from accessiBe / UserWay?
Those are overlay widgets: a JavaScript layer that sits on top of your site without changing its code. Roughly a quarter of companies sued in 2025 already had a widget installed. ThemeFix changes your theme's actual code through the Shopify Theme API — the same place a developer would fix it — and keeps proof of the work.
When would TestParty be the better choice?
If you want a managed service: TestParty includes monthly manual expert audits, delivers fixes as pull requests, and reports fewer than 1% of customers sued. That costs $600–$1,200+/month through a sales-led process. ThemeFix is the self-serve alternative: you run the scan and apply the fixes yourself, with automation only, at $149/mo or a $449 one-time pack.
Can I undo the fixes?
Yes. Before any patch is written, the app takes a full snapshot — in live mode that's a duplicated backup theme sitting in your own Shopify admin, so you can restore by hand even if our app is down. The app also has one-click rollback. Your original theme is never lost.
What can't it fix?
Anything outside your theme files: the Shopify-hosted checkout, third-party apps, and dynamic content loaded at runtime. Those are reported as out-of-scope findings, not silently ignored — and the report says so explicitly.
Do I need a developer?
No. Connect, scan, review, apply, download the PDF — the guided flow walks you through it. Patches flagged "needs merchant review" (e.g. guessed image descriptions) are marked clearly so you can adjust the wording.
